Dreams FC has etched its name in Ghanaian football history by becoming the first Ghanaian club to advance to the knockout stage of the CAF Confederations Cup since Kumasi Asante Kotoko achieved the feat in 2004.
Despite facing a 2-1 defeat in their final group encounter against Nigeria's Rivers United, the reigning Ghanaian FA Cup champions, Dreams FC secured their spot in the next round of the competition.
The crucial one-all draw between Club Africain and AC Libito worked in Dreams' favor, allowing them to clinch the top spot in the group with 12 points from six matches.
