Residence raises concerns over poor infrastructure in Jedua-Kese

Residents of Jedua-Kese, a community in the Amenfi Central District of the , have voiced their concerns over the deteriorating state of infrastructure in the area. Nana Kofi Yeboah II, the community chief, highlighted several pressing issues affecting the socio-economic well-being of the people during an with the Ghana Agency (GNA).

One of the main concerns raised by Nana Yeboah is the poor condition of the roads connecting Jedua-Kese to neighbouring towns and communities such as Agona Amenfi, Ankaasie, Wratrem, Juabo, and Jukwaa. The roads have deteriorated significantly, making transportation within the area challenging. Nana Yeboah emphasized the need for urgent repairs to improve accessibility and prevent motor accidents caused by bad road conditions.

Additionally, Nana Yeboah highlighted the deteriorating state of the only Junior High School in the community. One of the classrooms has collapsed, forcing students to study in a dilapidated structure, which negatively impacts teaching and learning. While the community has initiated a self-help project to construct a new classroom block, additional support is needed to complete the project and ensure a conducive learning environment for students.

Furthermore, the community lacks a well-equipped healthcare facility, with the existing CHIP Compound located at the residence of the former Assembly Member. Nana Yeboah stressed that this setup does not adequately promote quality healthcare delivery in the community, urging the government and the Amenfi Central District Assembly to intervene and address these infrastructural challenges.

In response to these concerns, Nana Yeboah appealed to the government for assistance in resolving the infrastructural deficiencies in Jedua-Kese. He emphasized the importance of addressing these challenges to improve the living standards and overall well-being of the community's residents.
