ISD officers trained on public education on SWCES

The , Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP), in collaboration with the Information Services Department (ISD), recently organized a workshop aimed at launching a nationwide public education and sensitization campaign on the Single Window Citizens Engagement Service (SWCES).

Regional and Metropolitan, Municipal and District Information Officers from several regions, including the , , Bono, , Northern, , , and , participated in the training held in .

The SWCES, birthed under the Social Protection Directorate of the Gender Ministry, aims to enhance the coordination of social protection interventions in Ghana. It serves as a unified platform for reporting and addressing grievances related to major social protection programs such as , LIPW, GSFP, and NHIS.

During a presentation on the SWCES, Madam Naa-Dedei Antie of the Gender Ministry outlined its objectives, which include increasing transparency and accountability, simplifying administrative processes, and improving service quality for citizens and beneficiaries.

Dr. Nafisa Mahama, Acting Director of the Information Services Department, emphasized the successful collaborations between ISD and the Gender Ministry in the past, leading to the selection of ISD for the SWCES campaign. She expressed confidence in the ISD officers' credibility and work ethic, stating that they could perform exceptionally well with the necessary logistics and support.

Dr. Mahama highlighted the importance of quality feedback received from the field during ISD's public campaigns, noting its significance in evaluating program effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement. She likened the SWCES to the national information contact centre operated by ISD during the pandemic, assuring the Gender Ministry of ISD's familiarity with such call management centres.
