Mr. , the President of the (GFA), has expressed admiration and gratitude towards former President for his significant contributions to the development of football in Ghana during his tenure.

Acknowledging the pivotal role played by the former President in Ghana's early football achievements, including securing the country's first-ever qualification for the World Cup, President Okraku praised Mr. Kufuor's leadership both in national football administration and as the head of football club.

Speaking at the unveiling of the J.A. Kufuor Cup, President Okraku highlighted Mr Kufuor's enduring commitment to the advancement of Ghanaian football. He emphasized the importance of honouring the former President's legacy by supporting his foundation's fundraising efforts and continuing to promote football development.

The J.A. Kufuor Cup, set to feature a match between and FC, is part of the initiatives organized by the Foundation to raise funds and commemorate the impactful contributions of the former President.

President Okraku affirmed the GFA's full support for the event, expressing the association's endorsement and commitment to participating in the special match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Encouraging Ghanaians to show their support by attending the match and rallying behind the competing teams, President Okraku emphasized the significance of the event as a celebration of football and a tribute to Mr. Kufuor's enduring legacy.
