Six spent BB casings were recovered from the scene and retained as exhibits for forensic examination.

Investigations revealed that Amina Abu was attacked and robbed of GH¢30,000 in cash. While the suspects were fleeing, Ibrahim Osei came out of his room, was shot and died on arrival at the hospital. The unidentified man also died while receiving treatment.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the suspects got off a cattle truck heading towards Berekum to commit the crime. The Twumasikrom checkpoint was alerted to intercept two vehicles carrying cattle.

Police said nine suspects have been arrested to assist with investigations and will be processed for prosecution.

The bodies have been deposited at the hospital morgue for preservation, identification and autopsy.

The Bono Regional Police Command said efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining perpetrators who are still at large and bring them to face the full rigours of the law.
