The Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC) has called for renewed commitment to building a Ghana and Africa where integrity thrives and corruption has no place.
In a statement marking African Anti-Corruption Day 2026, Executive Secretary of GACC, Beauty Emefa Narteh, said the fight against corruption is a shared responsibility that requires the active participation of governments, institutions, communities and citizens.

She urged Ghanaians to promote honesty, transparency and accountability, saying every act of integrity contributes to building a more just and prosperous society.
This year’s African Anti-Corruption Day is being observed under the theme, “Scaling Up the Promotion of Integrity and Anti-Corruption Actions Across Africa.”
Mrs. Narteh noted that GACC is also celebrating 25 years of promoting transparency and accountability in Ghana, with a strong focus on empowering young people to become champions of integrity.
She said GACC reached more than 23,000 students through its Local Accountability Networks (LANets) across 40 districts last year and will expand the programme to 85 districts this year.
As part of this year’s activities, GACC is organising the Capture Youth Voices Open Forum to engage young people on how corruption affects their lives and encourage them to promote accountability in their communities.
Mrs. Narteh urged young people to “Resist, Reject and Report” corruption, describing them as today’s champions of integrity and key drivers of a more transparent and accountable future.
