The Ghana Police Service has deployed more than 500 officers across the Greater Accra Region to provide security and participate in the two-day National General Cleaning Exercise declared by President John Mahama following the devastating June 29 floods.
The deployment is aimed at ensuring public safety while supporting the nationwide sanitation campaign to improve environmental cleanliness and help reduce the risk of flooding. Police officers joined residents in cleaning drains, streets and public spaces across the region as part of the exercise.
