Kasapreko Company Limited, the producer of Awake Purified Drinking Water, has heightened its financial commitment to the Cardiothoracic Centre at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra. On April 24, 2024, the Awake brand donated GH¢150,000 to the Cardio Centre, marking a significant increase from previous donations of GH¢75,000.
The contribution, made through Kasapreko's “One4Life” charity-driven project, represents the first-quarter payment of 2024 as part of the company's ongoing support for patients with heart conditions. Through the “One4Life” campaign, Kasapreko allocates 10 pesewas from the purchase of every 500ml of Awake Purified Drinking Water to support the Cardiothoracic Centre.
Madam Linda Aidoo, Brands Manager at Kasapreko Company, emphasized the company's commitment to expanding its support for the Cardio Centre to reach more Ghanaians in need. She expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for their continuous support of the Awake brand and encouraged them to continue patronizing their products.
Dr. Mark Mawutor Tettey, Acting Executive Director of the Cardiothoracic Centre, Korle-Bu Hospital, expressed appreciation for the increased support from Awake Purified Drinking Water. He highlighted the rising costs of healthcare and underscored the importance of corporate support in delivering quality healthcare services.
Renowned Ghanaian gospel musician Diana Hamilton, brand ambassador for Awake Mineral Drinking Water, also expressed excitement over the increased financial support for the centre. She thanked Ghanaians for their contributions through the “One4Life” initiative and expressed hope for continued support in the future.
The “One4Life” initiative has significantly impacted the lives of hundreds of children with heart conditions, and the increased funding will further bolster the Cardiothoracic Centre's efforts to provide essential care to those in need.
