Aflao celebrates Torgbi Fiti on induction as President of Forum of Kings and Traditional Leaders

celebrated Torgbi Fiti's induction as the President of the Forum of Kings and Traditional Leaders with pomp and pageantry on Friday, July 14.

The town's main streets were adorned with rich traditions and cultural displays as the of the area, Torgbi Amenya Fiti V, arrived after his induction ceremony in Lubumbashi, on Monday, July 10.

Upon the 's arrival, a large crowd of locals, chiefs, and elders greeted him in a procession accompanied by drumming, dancing, and musket firing from the Aflao border to the traditional palace at Agorkpanu.

During a brief welcome ceremony attended by hundreds of Aflao residents, Torgbi Fiti expressed gratitude to his subjects for their loyalty and support over the years.

He acknowledged that it was their love and encouragement that had led to his recognition and appointment as the president of this esteemed forum of traditional leaders on the continent.

Torgbi Fiti assured his divisional and sub-chiefs, mothers, elders, and all the people of Aflao of his commitment to fostering unity, peace, and development in the traditional area.

He pledged to utilize his new position to unite traditional leaders in Ghana and across , working towards the forum's goals and advocating for continental integration and development.

Several Divisional Chiefs, including Torgbi Nii Kpambi Vedzesu V of -Aflao, who also serves as the protocol officer of the , Torgbi Nyakeli Tortsofia VII of Wudoaba, Torgbi Anugbo of Avoeme, and Torgbi Gbonor Ayisu of Batorme, took turns to praise the for his dedication to the welfare of the people of Aflao.

They commended him for bringing honour to the area through his appointment as the president of the Forum of Kings and Traditional Leaders of Africa. They emphasized the need for loyalty and support from all residents of the traditional area to contribute to a better and prosperous Aflao.

The ceremony was attended by other divisional and sub-chiefs, as well as of the traditional area, including Torgbi Ekpe Larbi II of Avoeme, Torgbi Akoto V of Huimega, Torgbi Amenyo Degbedzayi, Torgbi Zogbla of Aflao-Apekotuime, Mama Agbenyode, Mama Xadenya, Mama Amedegbeso, Mama Dunotor, Mama Dorleagbenu, and Mama Korliba.
