Ghanaian sprinter Abdul-Rasheed Saminu has won the men’s senior 100m final at the ongoing Togo National Invitational Athletics Championships in Lomé.
Saminu recorded a time of 10.34 seconds to finish first in the event held at the Stade de Kegue. Fellow Ghanaian athletes Solomon Hammond and James Dadzie also delivered strong performances, finishing second and fourth with times of 10.53 seconds and 10.60 seconds respectively.

In the women’s category, Ghana’s Ethel Amissah placed second in the senior women’s 400m heat two after clocking 55.94 seconds.
The performances form part of Ghana’s preparations and efforts to strengthen its presence in international athletics competitions.
