The Koforidua High Court has ordered substituted service on Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri, after multiple unsuccessful attempts to serve him with a writ of summons challenging his election victory.

The order was granted following a request by National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate Fummey Selorm Philibert, who is contesting the Electoral Commission‘s declaration of Annoh-Dompreh as the duly elected MP. Court bailiffs had been unable to reach Annoh-Dompreh, prompting legal action to ensure he is officially notified of the case.

Presiding over the case, His Lordship Justice George Krofa Addae directed that the writ be served through various public channels. These include announcements aired three times on Fawe FM, a local radio station, and notices posted at five community information centres, the Nsawam Adoagyiri High Court, Magistrate Court, Circuit Court, three major public notice boards, the New Patriotic Party’s constituency office, and the MP’s official residence.

The court has scheduled the next hearing for March 14, 2025.

Meanwhile, NDC Constituency Secretary Noah Agbeko Dumenya accused Annoh-Dompreh of intentionally avoiding service and stated that his party remains confident that the legal process will ensure justice for the people of Nsawam Adoagyiri.
