Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has initiated plea negotiations in an ongoing criminal matter before the High Court in Accra.
A court filing titled Notification of Commencement of Plea Negotiation, filed under Section 162C(3) of Act 30, states that the first accused person, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, through his counsel, Mr. Andy Appiah-Kubi, submitted a request dated June 5, 2026, to the Attorney-General to commence plea negotiations in respect of the charges before the court.

The case, filed at the High Court of Justice in Accra under docket number CR/0529/2026, lists The Republic as the plaintiff and names Bernard Antwi-Boasiako alias Wontumi as the first accused person, Thomas Antwi-Boasiako, identified as being at large, as the second accused person, and Wontumi Farms Limited as the third accused person.
The notification was issued from the Office of the Attorney-General at the Law House on Liberia Road in Accra and dated June 11, 2026.
The document was signed by Dr. Justice Srem-Sai, Deputy Attorney-General, and addressed to the Registrar of the High Court (General Jurisdiction), Accra, for service on the accused persons or their lawyers.
