The Deputy Director of Elections and IT for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Rashid Tanko Computer, has announced that the party is using all legal avenues to challenge the parliamentary declaration of Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri.

In an interview with Citi News, Dr Tanko Computer expressed strong objections to the MP’s declaration, stating that it did not comply with electoral laws and was based on incorrect result sheets. According to him, the declaration was made using fake and scanned pink sheets while the NDC was engaged in court proceedings, which he believes violated proper electoral procedures.

“We have filed an election petition against the declaration of Honorable Annoh-Dompreh as the winner of that contest, and the Koforidua High Court is handling the case,” Dr Tanko Computer said. “We’ve been reliably informed that his lawyers have been served the notice.”

The NDC’s legal team is actively pursuing the matter in court, seeking to overturn the MP’s declaration. Dr. Tanko Computer also revealed that a stay of execution had been filed against the mandamus application at the High Court, but despite this, the declaration proceeded.
