It also briefed the Speaker on plans for an upcoming Bar Conference, which it described as a landmark event for legal practitioners across the country.
The Speaker congratulated the Ghana Law Society on its student membership drive, describing it as important for promoting professionalism and ethical conduct at the early stages of legal education.
He further noted that the ongoing constitutional review process presents an opportunity to create space for professional associations beyond the Ghana Bar Association, in order to foster a more inclusive and collaborative legal system.
The Speaker expressed optimism about the planned Bar Conference and encouraged the executives to continue their work. The visit, he said, reflects a shared commitment between the Legislature and the legal profession to strengthen Ghana’s democratic institutions and regulatory frameworks.
