During the meeting, the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament underscored Ghana’s commitment to international trade and regional integration, highlighting the country’s strategic role in Africa‘s economic development.

He noted that Ghana’s hosting of the headquarters of the African Continental Free Trade Area demonstrates the country’s dedication to advancing trade integration across the continent.

According to Parliament, the visit marks another milestone in the longstanding parliamentary relationship between Ghana and the United Kingdom and is expected to deepen cooperation between the two legislatures.

As part of their visit, the UK delegation is also expected to hold engagements with Parliament’s Committee on Human Rights and the Committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs.

The discussions are aimed at promoting parliamentary dialogue and strengthening collaboration on democratic governance, constitutional matters, and development issues of shared interest.

The visit forms part of broader efforts to enhance bilateral relations and foster stronger institutional partnerships between Ghana and the United Kingdom.
