Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang arrives in Guyana for the 60th Independence Anniversary

Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has arrived in the Co-operative Republic of Guyana to participate in activities marking the country’s 60th Independence Anniversary.

According to the Vice President, she was received on arrival by Ghana’s Ambassador to Brazil, H.E. Nii Amasah Namoale, his team, and Guyana’s Minister for Culture, Youth and Sport, Hon. Charles Ramson.

Members of the Ghanaian community in Guyana also welcomed her.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang said she looks forward to joining the Government and people of Guyana in commemorating the anniversary while reaffirming the longstanding relations and cooperation between Ghana and Guyana.
