Ghana-UK Investment Summit ends with renewed call for investment

The Ghana-UK Investment Summit 2026 has concluded with a renewed appeal to investors to take advantage of economic opportunities in Ghana and across Africa.

Delivering the closing address on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, Trade, Agribusiness and Industry Minister Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare underscored Ghana’s readiness to attract investment and drive economic transformation through strategic partnerships.

She described the summit as a reflection of the growing economic relationship between Ghana and the United Kingdom and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining a business-friendly environment for local and international investors.

Hon. Ofosu-Adjare said Ghana remains strategically positioned as a gateway for investment into Africa, declaring that “Africa’s moment is now, and Ghana is where it all begins.”

She commended the Ghana and UK High Commissioners, staff, sponsors, development partners, speakers, panellists and participants for contributing to the success of the summit.

According to the Minister, the event strengthened economic ties between Ghana and the United Kingdom while creating new opportunities for collaboration in trade, agribusiness, manufacturing, technology, infrastructure and other strategic sectors.

She assured investors of the government’s commitment to implementing policies that promote investment, industrial growth and sustainable economic development.

Officially closing the summit on behalf of President Mahama, Hon. Ofosu-Adjare expressed optimism that the event would pave the way for new partnerships and investment commitments that support economic growth, job creation and sustainable development in Ghana.
