The International Operations Manager of Future Careers Ghana, Papi-Paulo Zigah, has called on the government to integrate career education into the school curriculum to help young people make informed career choices.
Speaking during a tour of schools in Tema and Ashaiman, Mr. Zigah introduced CareerPlan, a programme designed to guide students aged 12 to 18 in selecting subjects, exploring career paths and planning for their future.

He said career guidance should begin at age 12, stressing that early support helps students make informed decisions rather than being influenced by peer pressure.
Mr. Zigah noted that understanding one’s interests, values, skills and personality is essential for choosing a suitable career and achieving long-term job satisfaction.
Business Development Officer Frank Abankwa-Ntim also advocated for greater emphasis on enterprise education, saying it equips young people with the skills and confidence to build sustainable businesses.
He added that Future Careers Ghana provides career guidance, CV writing support, interview coaching, internships, volunteering opportunities and free UK-accredited courses for young people seeking education or employment.
