Mr. Albert Sore, Regional Chairman of the GJA, described the turnout as remarkable and a sign of the awards’ growing relevance. “I am very happy that many people have shown interest in this year’s awards, making it very competitive. We have not had this number since we started our regional awards, and it is good that we are making a lot of progress,” he said, commending all entrants for their commitment and professionalism.
The 4th Regional GJA Awards is scheduled for Friday, October 10, 2025, under the theme: “Upholding Public Trust: The Role of the Media in Promoting Accountable Governance in the Upper East Region.” The awards continue to serve as a key platform to recognise, reward, and inspire excellence in journalism while reinforcing the Association’s commitment to professionalism, accountability, and ethical standards.
