Women in Planning at the Sunyani Zone of the Ghana Institute of Planning (GIP) have expressed their heartfelt condolences to the family of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, following her passing.
In a statement jointly signed by Planners Gifty Nyarko, Sunyani Zonal Secretary, and Athonia Ayamga, Sunyani Zonal Organiser of GIP, the group described the late Nana Konadu as “an exceptional female politician” whose life and work continue to inspire generations.

A copy of the statement made available to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani said, “The late Agyeman-Rawlings has left an indelible mark every young female and development-oriented politician must look at.”
The group praised the late former First Lady for spearheading a national development agenda through education, describing her legacy as “worth emulation.”
The statement further noted that Nana Konadu’s pivotal role in promoting women’s socio-economic development and empowerment was “exceptional,” urging young women to emulate her leadership, resilience, and entrepreneurial drive.
“The Agyeman-Rawlings remains an icon and reference point for all women, both in politics and entrepreneurship,” the statement added.
Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital) in Accra.
