A delegation from this year’s Planning Committee (CPC) of the ongoing Avenor Tutudoza festival has paid a courtesy call on Mr. Reginald Odai, the new Akatsi District Manager of the Electricity Company of Ghana Ltd (ECG).

Led by Torgbui Tali Gafatsi III, the CPC Chairman and Chief from Agbedrafor, the team briefed Mr. Odai on the various activities planned throughout the festive season and formally welcomed him to the Traditional Area.

Torgbui Tali commended ECG for its consistent support during past festivities and appealed for continued backing under the new management to ensure a successful celebration.

Mr. Odai expressed his delight at the visit, thanked the delegation for the honor, and assured the Chiefs and residents of Akatsi South and surrounding areas of ECG’s commitment to supporting the festival.

He also requested the Traditional authorities’ cooperation in facilitating the company’s daily operational activities, highlighting ECG’s role as the nation’s sole power distributor.

The CPC delegation included Torgbui Ladzekpo Tetteh Gefu IV, Torgbui Azadagli III, Mama Fomeabu II, Mr. Amuzu Kale, Mr. Edward Doe Adade, Mr. Paul Ayrah, and Mr. Agbaxode Emmanuel.

The festival, which commenced earlier this month, has already recorded high participation in activities such as a clean-up exercise, health walk, fashion show, and the Avenor Strongest competition.

Upcoming events include the annual pilgrimage to Datsutagba, beauty pageant, artists’ night, soccer competition, and the grand durbar scheduled for Saturday, November 29, 2025.

This year’s festivities are being held under the theme: “Securing the Future of Avenor through Skills Acquisition, Employment and Economic Growth.”
