GPCC General Secretary urges Christian unity for national development at Volta Regional executives’ induction

Apostle Immanuel Tettey, General Secretary of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), has called on Christians to unite and contribute meaningfully to national development.

He made the appeal during the induction service for newly elected GPCC Volta Regional Executives at Paradise Chapel International in Ho, an event that brought together clergy, church leaders, and members across the region in worship, prayer, and unity.

The newly inducted executives are Rev. E.E.V.K. Ackorlie, Chairman; Rev. Roger Elorm Titriku, Vice Chairman; Rev. Eric Seyram-Anku, Secretary; Rev. Perfect Kofi-Kumah, Treasurer; and Rev. Andy Ugorji, Organiser.

In his sermon, Apostle Tettey cautioned against what he described as Christian leaders becoming “obsessed” with titles rather than addressing matters of national importance.

“Our denominational founders have played their roles, and our unity in Christ must remain unshaken… Salvation is one, and it is through Christ alone,” he said.

He lamented the absence of a collective Christian agenda for Ghana, adding, “Everybody is fighting in their own corner. Yet, if we harmonise our voice, we can shape governance, strengthen morality, and safeguard our nation against destructive agendas.”

The induction service, he noted, signified GPCC’s renewed commitment to fostering both spiritual growth and socio-economic transformation through unity, collaboration, and a shared Christian agenda.
