Authorities say calm has since been re-established after the intervention.

Security agencies have also confirmed the recovery of five bodies from two separate locations within the Nkwanta South Municipality. The deceased include three males and two females.

The operation involved a joint team made up of the police, military, intelligence officers, and personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service.

Investigations are currently underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the attacks and to identify those responsible. Officials have assured the public that efforts are ongoing to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Residents of Nkwanta and surrounding communities have been urged to remain calm and support security operations by volunteering credible information that could aid investigations.

Authorities also cautioned against the spread of misinformation and any actions that could further escalate tensions.

The police emphasized the importance of public cooperation in maintaining peace as security forces continue to monitor the situation closely.
