The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has successfully evacuated three Ghanaian traders who sustained injuries during a terrorist attack in Burkina Faso on Saturday, 14 February 2026.
According to a press release issued by the Department of Public Relations at General Headquarters, Burma Camp, the evacuation formed part of a coordinated humanitarian and security response by the Government of Ghana.

The release was signed by Captain Veronica Adzo Arhin of the Ghana Navy, Acting Director General of Public Relations, and circulated to media houses for publication.
The mission was carried out on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, by the Ghana Air Force.
The injured traders have since been transported to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra, where they are receiving further medical assessment and treatment.
In the statement, the Ghana Armed Forces extended its deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the attack. The military also expressed prayers for the repose of the souls of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
