The Ghana National Fire Service has prevented a potential LPG fire disaster at a fast food joint on Dr Marble Street in Suhum.
According to the Service, the incident occurred on April 8, 2026, when a 6kg LPG cylinder caught fire. Personnel from the Suhum Municipal Fire Station, led by ADO II Boamah Bernard, responded promptly.

The team arrived at 15:46hrs and removed the regulator within a minute, successfully containing the fire and preventing escalation.
No casualties were recorded, although the cylinder valve was damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
