Staff, management, and customers of Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited on Saturday took to the streets of Accra for a 10-kilometre health walk to commemorate the bank’s 20th anniversary.
Themed “20 Years of Impact, A Lifetime of Shared Growth,” the walk began at the bank’s Head Office, Zenith Heights, Ridge, and took participants through key city routes, including the Ridge Roundabout, Accra Financial Centre, Independence Avenue, and the Ako Adjei Interchange, before looping back to the starting point.

Mr Henry Oroh, Managing Director of Zenith Bank Ghana, said the walk formed part of a series of activities planned to celebrate two decades of the bank’s operations in Ghana.
He explained that the exercise was designed to promote wellness, teamwork, and social engagement among staff and customers, while also celebrating the bank’s achievements and resilience.
“Zenith Bank’s success story is not only about financial performance but about the people who make the journey worthwhile,” Mr. Oroh said.
“The walk symbolises the shared energy, resilience, and partnership that have sustained the bank for 20 years.”
Highlighting the bank’s progress, he noted that Zenith’s 20-year milestone reflects a legacy of innovation, service excellence, and community development, cementing its place as a leading financial institution in Ghana’s banking sector.
Mr Oroh described the anniversary as a moment to reflect on the bank’s journey, one “fueled by vision, driven by innovation, and anchored in service excellence.”
“Today, we have walked to honour the strides we have made, strides that have transformed Ghana’s banking landscape and elevated the Zenith brand into one of strength, innovation, and trust,” he said.
He reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to maintaining a strong capital adequacy ratio well above regulatory requirements, ensuring continued financial stability and resilience.
The Managing Director also commended the media for their support in sharing Zenith Bank’s impact and success stories over the years.
The event featured free medical screening and wellness tips for participants. Customers who joined the walk praised the bank for maintaining strong relationships with clients and for initiatives that promote good health and corporate social responsibility.
