A 10-year-old boy has died after a Hyundai Creta vehicle crashed into a metal container shop at Abetifi in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern Region.
The accident also left five other people injured. The victims were rushed to the Abetifi Health Centre for treatment, where two female victims were treated and discharged, while three others were referred to the Kwahu Government Hospital.

The Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ebenezer Tetteh, confirmed the incident to the Ghana News Agency.
He said the deceased, Emmanuel Atta Serebour Senior, was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital, and his body had been deposited at the Kwahu Government Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
DSP Tetteh explained that the driver, Charles Appiah, was travelling from Abetifi towards Pepease when the vehicle veered off the road and crashed into the container shop.
The vehicle has since been towed from the accident scene to the Abetifi Police Station, while the driver remains in police custody assisting with investigations.
Meanwhile, another accident involving a VW minibus occurred at Atibie in the Kwahu South District. The vehicle, which was carrying 20 passengers, left some occupants injured.
According to DSP Tetteh, the injured passengers were taken to the Holy Family Hospital at Nkawkaw for treatment. The minibus was travelling from Nkawkaw towards Atibie when the accident occurred.
