The National Health Insurance Scheme, Ningo Prampram District Office, has extended its outreach services to Abe Paanya as part of efforts to improve access to healthcare services in underserved communities.
Led by District Manager Moses Nii-P Kutor, the outreach team provided services including new registrations, membership renewals, Ghana Card linkage, and guidance on the use of the *929# shortcode and the MyNHIS App.

Residents were also educated on the Free Primary Health Care policy and the importance of maintaining active NHIS membership.
The exercise received support through inter-district collaboration, with Marshall Mensah Bobobee, MIS Assistant from the Dangme West District Office, assisting with data capture and system operations. Three National Service personnel also supported client engagement and logistics.
According to the NHIS, many residents took advantage of the exercise to register, renew memberships and seek clarification on NHIS services without travelling long distances.
The Scheme said the outreach highlighted the importance of bringing healthcare services directly to communities to reduce barriers to access and strengthen public participation.
