The proposed hospitals will be built in the Oti, Savannah, North East, Western North, Bono East and Ahafo regions, which currently depend on facilities in their parent regions for specialised healthcare.

According to the Minister, the hospitals will be equipped with modern diagnostic equipment, surgical theatres, maternity wards and emergency units.

He said the projects are intended to strengthen the healthcare system and reduce pressure on existing regional and teaching hospitals.

The Minister noted that the hospitals will be implemented in phases, with funding expected from the national budget, development partners and possible public-private partnerships.
