The Oti Regional Coordinating Council (ORCC) and World Vision Ghana have signed a memorandum of understanding to improve access to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services in three districts.

The partnership will see the Kadjebi, Krachi Nchumuru, and Krachi West districts benefit from improved water access and public health across the region.

Rev. Harry Nii Kwatie Owoo, chief director of the ORCC, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to better public health and service delivery.

“We are grateful to World Vision Ghana for this partnership, which will greatly support service delivery in the areas of water, health, and sanitation. The Regional Coordinating Council will ensure effective coordination, monitoring, and supervision so that all activities align with established service delivery standards,” Rev. Owoo stated.

Mr Cephas Wedam, WASH programme manager at World Vision Ghana, said the agreement aims to accelerate progress toward universal WASH coverage.

“Our goal can only be achieved through strong partnerships. We are here to complement the work districts are already doing,” Mr Wedam said.

The MoU outlines joint efforts in infrastructure development, behaviour-change campaigns, capacity building, and sustainability planning. It also seeks to reinforce local systems and promote inclusion, child protection, accountability, and safeguarding of vulnerable groups.

Representatives of the district assemblies pledged to uphold the provisions of the MoU and ensure its successful implementation.
