In a Facebook tribute, family associate Sahadatu Alhassan recounted his final moments, noting that he had spent the morning in high spirits, chatting with friends, making phone calls, and responding to messages, before asking his wife for breakfast. When his wife returned with the meal, she reportedly found him struggling to take his last breath.
The news has shocked both legal and religious circles, given Ali Adam’s high-profile role in defending Nana Agradaa in several court cases, including the widely publicised GH¢20 million defamation suit filed by gospel musician Empress Gifty. His frequent public appearances with Agradaa earned him the nickname “Agradaa Lawyer.”
Tributes have since poured in on social media. Haruna Maiga, a former aspirant for the position of National Nasara Coordinator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), wrote: “May Allah grant you Jannah, my honourable, as I’ve always called you. You left us in pain, and we will always remember you with love.”
Funeral arrangements and the official cause of death are yet to be announced by the family.
