ECG announces planned power outages in Central Region

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned maintenance works in parts of the Central Region, which will result in temporary power outages on Tuesday, August 11, and Thursday, August 13, 2026.

The maintenance works are intended to improve service delivery.

On Tuesday, August 11, power will be interrupted from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Breku, Bonsuoku, Senya Township, Fetteh Township, Ojobi and surrounding areas.

The outage will also affect Nyamedom, Asuansi, Kruwa, Mensukwa, Asomdwe, Thompson Obengkrom, parts of Asebu, Mframadwe, Old Ebu, Putubiw, Apewosika, Abuanu and surrounding areas.

On Thursday, August 13, the outage will also occur from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in CP, Larota, Lawyer, Kotonkole, Fiifi Prat, Millennium City, Nyanyano Township, Kojo Oku and surrounding areas.

Other areas affected on Thursday include Abakrampa Town, Nyamedom, Asuansi, Musunkea, Kwekutu, Asebu, Apewosika, Agendam, Abuanu and surrounding areas.

ECG has apologised to customers for the inconvenience that may arise from the maintenance exercise.
