Great Ampong denies speaking ill of Daddy Lumba

Gospel musician Great Ampong has firmly denied claims that he ever spoke negatively about highlife legend Daddy Lumba, describing the reports as false and misleading.

In a response to circulating allegations, Ampong clarified that he holds deep respect for Daddy Lumba and would not engage in any form of public disparagement against him. He explained that his comments, which may have been misinterpreted, were never intended to attack or undermine the veteran musician.

“I have never bad-mouthed Daddy Lumba,” he stated, emphasizing that he values the contributions of the highlife icon to Ghana’s music industry.

The clarification comes amid growing conversations on social media, where some users suggested tension between the two musicians. However, Ampong dismissed any notion of a feud, urging the public to disregard the claims.

He also called for responsible communication, warning against the spread of misinformation that can damage reputations and create unnecessary divisions within the creative industry.

Fans of both artists have welcomed the clarification, expressing hope that the matter will be laid to rest as both musicians continue to focus on their respective careers.

The development highlights the speed at which rumors can spread in the digital age and the importance of verifying information before drawing conclusions.
