The coordinated raid targeted several hideouts allegedly linked to the group, which has been accused of terrorising communities in Obuasi and its surrounding areas.
The suspects have been identified as Aziz Abubakar, also known as Romeo, Faraway Amari, and Patient Asare. Police say the trio were picked up during the early-morning operation without incident.
A search conducted at the scene led to the retrieval of a pump-action gun loaded with ammunition, machetes, a bayonet, combat boots, one 9mm round of ammunition, and an amount of GH¢20,000.00 in cash.
The police suspect the cash may be proceeds from criminal activities.
Preliminary investigations have further linked two of the suspects to the killing of three persons at Breme near Bechem in the Bono Region in March 2025.
Authorities indicated that investigations are ongoing to establish the full extent of the gang’s activities and to identify and arrest other accomplices still at large.
The Police Command has assured the public of its commitment to intensifying operations against armed robbery and other violent crimes in the region.
Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and to provide credible information to assist law enforcement agencies in their efforts to maintain peace and security.
