Police arrest two suspects over disappearance of Accra couple

The Ghana Police Service has arrested two suspects in connection with the disappearance of a couple, Dr Jesse Amuah and Mrs Elizabeth Esi Amuah.

Police said a complaint was lodged on April 22, 2026, that the couple had not been seen or heard from since March 23, 2026.

According to the report, the couple’s house was found locked, their Nissan Sunny with registration number GX 159-X was missing, and attempts to reach them were unsuccessful.

The Missing Persons Unit, together with the Anti-Armed Robbery Unit and the Crime Scene Management Team, took over the investigation and visited the couple’s residence.

The investigation led to the arrest of two suspects, whose names have been withheld, and they are assisting with ongoing investigations.

Police said efforts are continuing to locate the missing couple and urged the public to provide any credible information to assist the case.
