The Accra Regional Police Command, in a joint intelligence-led operation with the National Police Intelligence Directorate (NPID), has arrested five suspects and retrieved firearms, ammunition and other offensive items at Sapeiman Faase in the Accra Region.
The suspects, identified as Torgbui Agah Semaglo (50), Shadrach Agah Semaglo (22), William Kweku Sedanu (21), Cyril Kassenu (26), and Kingsford Agah Semaglo (18), were arrested on July 17, 2026.

Police said a search at the suspects’ premises led to the retrieval of one pump-action gun, one Stoeger ST-R9 pistol, one dummy Austria pistol, one jackknife, one face mask, 12 BB cartridges, three rounds of 9mm ammunition, one AK-47 round of ammunition, one talisman and two kitchen knives, all of which have been retained as exhibits.
Preliminary investigations indicate the suspects are believed to be members of a criminal group involved in armed robbery and landguard activities and are alleged to have used the recovered weapons to terrorise residents in the Sapeiman area and its environs.
The suspects remain in police custody assisting with investigations as efforts continue to establish their involvement in other criminal activities and arrest additional accomplices.
The Police also urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious persons or activities through the nearest police station or emergency numbers.
