A mobile money (MoMo) operator is fighting for his life after being shot during an armed robbery at Agona Mankron Junction in the Agona East District of the Central Region.
According to reports, a six-member armed gang stormed the area, robbing three MoMo vendors of undisclosed sums of money. The suspects also attempted to attack a filling station, but workers escaped before they could strike.

The gang later mounted an illegal roadblock on the Bawjiase–Swedru highway, where they robbed motorists and commuters at gunpoint.
An eyewitness said the attack caused panic, with residents fleeing into nearby bushes and hiding in a cemetery as gunshots rang through the community.
The injured MoMo operator is receiving treatment, while police have launched investigations and are expected to intensify efforts to arrest the suspects.
Residents have called for increased police presence to improve security and protect lives and property in the area.
