Professor Stephen Kwaku Asare, commonly referred to as Kwaku Aza. Stephen Kwaku Asare is the KPMG Professor of Accounting at the University of Florida and a Research Professor at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. A Certified Fraud Examiner and Florida Bar member, he holds a Ph.D., J.D., MBA, and BSc from top institutions. His research focuses on audit decision-making, white-collar crime, and governance in emerging democracies. He has received major research grants, published extensively, and serves as Editor of the Journal of Accounting Literature. Dr. Asare has also taught globally and contributed to executive education for PwC.
