Mfantseman Constituency, Central Region, Ghana – The Mfantseman Constituency in Ghana's Central Region witnessed a peaceful conclusion to its election, with Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, securing victory with 551 votes.
His opponent, Vice President Dr. Bawumia, garnered 540 votes. The results were declared by Mr Owusu Ansah, the Municipal Director of the Electoral Commission.
In the hotly contested race, Dr. Afriyie Akoto received five votes, while Mr Addai Nimo managed to secure seven votes.
The total valid votes cast in this election amounted to 1,104, with one rejected ballot.
Supporters of Mr. Agyapong expressed their gratitude to the party delegates for their unwavering support and belief in their mission.
They also urged all members to maintain peace and gracefully accept the national result, emphasizing the unity of the party.
