The Ministry stated that it is working closely with the Ghana Police Service and other relevant child protection agencies to ensure the case is thoroughly investigated and that justice is served in accordance with the law.
It reaffirmed its commitment to the protection of children and its resolve to collaborate with law enforcement agencies and stakeholders to prevent similar incidents and hold perpetrators of child abuse accountable.
Beyond the investigation, the Ministry cautioned parents, guardians, and caregivers against the use of violent disciplinary methods, stressing that discipline must never result in physical harm to a child.

The Ministry further emphasised that protecting children is a shared responsibility, calling on families, communities, traditional and religious leaders, and the general public to help ensure that children grow up in safe, caring, and protective environments.
