NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah urges peace in Nkwanta South to support development and road projects

Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on chiefs and residents of Nkwanta South to uphold peace as a foundation for development.

Speaking during his “Thank You” tour of the Oti Region, he noted that recent conflicts had hindered progress and emphasised that unity and harmony are essential for driving the area forward. He announced that the government had allocated funds for the rehabilitation of the Eastern Corridor Road, which will connect Nkwanta South to southern Ghana and neighbouring countries, creating new economic opportunities.

Mr Asiedu Nketiah also highlighted upcoming road projects, including the Nkwanta-Damanko and Nkwanta-Dambai roads, which he said would significantly boost local commerce. “Without peace,” he warned, “these initiatives risk being derailed, undermining President John Mahama’s national development agenda.”

He urged NDC supporters and all Ghanaians to support the party’s policies to maintain stability and provide a peaceful environment for Mahama’s reset agenda.
