Dormaa Paramount Chief honours Rev. Dr Isaac Appiah for outstanding leadership at Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital

Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II, Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area and President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, has honoured the Reverend Dr Isaac Appiah, General Manager of the Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital (DPH), for his exceptional leadership and dedicated service.

At a grand durbar to climax the hospital’s 70th anniversary celebration in Dormaa-Ahenkro, Osagyefo Oseadeyo Badu II presented Rev. Dr Appiah with three building plots at Dormaa-Ahenkro and a car in recognition of his contribution to the growth and transformation of the hospital. He further pledged to reward him with two additional plots beyond Dormaa, either in Sunyani or Tema.

The Paramount Chief commended Rev. Dr Appiah’s exemplary foresight and managerial skills, describing his leadership as “unparalleled” and instrumental in improving the hospital’s infrastructure and the overall quality of healthcare delivery in the area.

The 70th anniversary, celebrated under the theme “Celebrating 70 years of excellence: advancing quality healthcare through innovation and modern practices,” brought together chiefs, clergy, health professionals, and members of the public to reflect on the hospital’s journey and achievements.

Osagyefo Oseadeyo Badu II praised the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for its long-standing commitment to healthcare and development, saying its contributions had been invaluable in improving the welfare of the Dormaa community and beyond.

He also commended individuals and organisations, both local and international, including former Member of Parliament Mr Kwaku Agyemang-Manu and Jegri Bekala Limited, a mining company operating in the municipality, for their support toward the hospital’s development.

The Paramount Chief cautioned against transferring Rev. Dr Appiah, noting that such a move could disrupt the hospital’s progress. He called on the Church and stakeholders to support the completion of the hospital’s emergency centre project to further enhance healthcare delivery.

He also urged workers in the area to emulate Rev. Dr Appiah’s dedication, discipline, and leadership excellence in their respective fields.
