Former Minority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has lauded the economic management of President John Dramani Mahama‘s administration, describing its performance over the past nine months as both impressive and encouraging.

Speaking on Lawson TV, Mensah-Bonsah highlighted key achievements, including the reduction of inflation, stabilisation of the cedi, and the effective implementation of the gold board policy.

“When the NPP left office, inflation was around 21%. But now the NDC has achieved a single-digit inflation rate, which is a huge positive,” he remarked.

He also commended the government for lowering interest rates from 22% to 18% and bringing the cedi from 16 to 10 against the dollar.

“These achievements indicate that the Mahama government is on the right trajectory, making tangible progress in restoring economic stability,” Mensah-Bonsu concluded.
