The decision followed requests from both clubs after several of their players were called up to represent the national teams.
Asante Kotoko had six players invited to the national teams, with four players — Emmanuel Asante, Abeiku Ainooson, Ahmed Adams and Michael Akuffo — joining the local Black Stars for the COSAFA Cup, while Eric Ofori Antwi and Dauda Mohammed were with the Black Meteors.
Ashantigold also requested a postponement after contributing five players, including Fatau Dauda, Tijani Joshua, Bernard Morrison and Yakubu Mohammed to the local Black Stars, while Lawrence Lartey was called up to the Black Meteors.
The GFA and the FA Cup Committee approved the requests in line with Article 13(4) of the FA Cup regulations, which allows a club to request a match postponement if it has three or more players in the senior national team or five or more players across the senior, U-23, U-20 or U-17 national teams.
The rescheduled dates for both matches will be announced by the GFA.
