GSPD condemns Shatta Wale’s mockery of Stonebouy’s disability

The Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled (GSPD) has issued a stern warning to musician following a video circulating on where he allegedly mocks Stonebouy's disability.

In the video, is purportedly heard making derogatory remarks, suggesting that Stonebouy's disability is a punishment from God. The GSPD strongly condemns such remarks, labeling them as primitive and irresponsible.

The GSPD emphasized that Shatta Wale's words not only reflect insensitivity but also disregard for the feelings of persons with disabilities, including some of his own fans who support him. The society called on Shatta Wale to retract his statement, remove the video from , and apologize to all persons with disabilities and Ghanaians at large.

Furthermore, the GSPD reminded the public that mocking or making derogatory remarks about a person's disability is a punishable offense under the Disability Act 715. They urged everyone to embrace persons with disabilities and show empathy towards them, emphasizing that disability could affect anyone at any time.
