The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat has committed to mobilizing $10 billion to support the growth of small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) led by youth across Africa. He stressed the AfCFTA's goal of ensuring that young people are at the forefront of benefiting from the implementation of the trade agreement.
In response, President William Ruto expressed readiness to collaborate with President Akufo-Addo to ratify all financial establishments under the African Union. He emphasized the importance of building a robust financial ecosystem to support trade, investments, and businesses across the continent.
