NPP parliamentary candidate donates streetlights to UESD

Dr. Twum Barimah, the New Patriotic Party () parliamentary candidate for Yilo , has extended a helping hand to the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD) in Somanya by donating streetlights to the institution. The gesture aimed to address potential vulnerabilities caused by inadequate street lighting in certain areas of the campus.

Accompanied by Mr. Eric Tetteh, the Municipal Chief Executive, the constituency's 1st Vice Chairman, Mr. Michael Jackson Bruku, and several party officials, Dr. Barimah presented the streetlights in response to a request for assistance from the university's administration.

During his address, Dr. Twum emphasized the importance of the administration's proactive approach in reaching out to address concerns about the university's progress. He commended the dedication of the university's lecturers and administration to enhancing community services, particularly through waste segregation and management programs in local schools and institutions.

Expressing his appreciation to the university authorities for their impactful initiatives in Land, Dr. Twum encouraged them to persist in their efforts to contribute positively to the community.

Prof. Eric Nyarko-Sampson, Vice Chancellor of UESD, expressed gratitude to Dr. Twum Barimah for the considerate gesture. He assured the parliamentary candidate of continued collaboration for the progress of the university and the nation as a whole.
