CPP parliamentary aspirant threatens legal action against Ghana Gas over developmental challenges: Ghana News

Nana Blay Miezah, a Parliamentary Aspirant for the Convention People's Party () in the Jomoro Constituency, has issued a stern warning to the Ghana National Gas Company, indicating his intention to pursue legal action over unaddressed developmental challenges in the Jomoro Municipality.

The threat comes after repeated attempts to engage regarding infrastructure issues, specifically concerning the deteriorating condition of the road from the Samenye barrier to Half-Assini through New Town. Despite written appeals to to rectify the situation, there has been no satisfactory response.

Nana Miezah, speaking to the following a peaceful demonstration in Jomoro, criticized Ghana Gas for neglecting its responsibility to maintain the road, which was utilized for its operations during its establishment. He highlighted that while the company had constructed a private road for its use, the main road crucial for community connectivity had been left in disrepair.

Furthermore, Nana Miezah demanded that Ghana Gas address the blockade on the river traversing Beyin to old Nzulezo, which has led to spillage and flooding in surrounding communities during heavy rainfall. He emphasized the adverse impact of these conditions, citing concerns about community safety and security.

Expressing his commitment to championing the development of Jomoro, Nana Miezah asserted his readiness to escalate the matter if Ghana Gas fails to respond adequately. He vowed to mobilize traditional leaders and youth to seek an injunction on the company's activities should their concerns continue to be ignored.

In representing the interests and aspirations of the people of Jomoro, Nana Miezah affirmed his determination to hold Ghana Gas accountable for addressing the pressing infrastructure needs of the municipality.
