Charles Bissue's attempt to prevent his cross-examination faced a setback on Monday, January 15, 2024, when his lawyer failed to convince the court to rescind its decision.

The () was granted permission to cross-examine Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, responding to Mr Awuah's claim that the had obtained a non-existent warrant for Bissue's arrest.

The court injunction against Bissue's arrest for ten days still stands, with the lawyer granted until February 1, 2024, to submit written submissions and be fit for cross-examination.

The OSP's statement adds; “At the last adjourned date, the court granted the OSP permission to cross-examine Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah. This decision was made in response to an affidavit submitted by Mr Awuah, claiming that the Office had obtained a warrant for Bissue's arrest. A warrant he has failed to produce in court till date because it does not exist.”

The court has set February 1, 2024, as the deadline for Bissue's lawyer to submit written submissions and be prepared for cross-examination.
