In a significant step towards enhancing the party's infrastructure, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (), has initiated the construction of an ultra-modern office complex for the Secretariat in the Region.

The project, scheduled for completion by the end of the year, aims to provide essential facilities, including an executive room, the MP's office, washrooms, and a spacious compound for parking and other activities.

Mr Ofosu Ampofo expressed commendation for Member of , Mr Kwadjo Nyapon-Aboagye, acknowledging his proactive approach in securing land for the construction of a permanent party Secretariat for the constituency.

At a brief sod-cutting ceremony, Mr Gyapon Kwadjo, the regional chairman of the party, pledged support for the project, stating, “I will support 100 bags of cement,” while Mr Bless, MP for Nkwanta North, committed 50 bags of cement. Other members also promised 50 bags each, ensuring a collaborative effort for the timely completion of the project.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Ofosu Ampofo took the opportunity to express gratitude to party members and urged constituents to continue placing their confidence in the and Mr Kwadjo Nyapon-Aboagye as the MP for the area.

Mr. Asiwome Yaw Ameglah, the constituency chairman, lauded the MP for his numerous contributions to the constituency. He expressed gratitude for the initiative, emphasizing that the realization of the dream to establish the party office would significantly reduce the cost of communication during emergency meetings.

The groundbreaking ceremony marks a pivotal moment in the NDC's commitment to strengthening its presence and operations at the grassroots level in the Oti Region.
